Pop Up Message - Happy Halloween Simple

Create beautiful raised 3D lettering in fondant, modeling chocolate, sugar paste, or gum paste. Unlike a traditional embosser, Pop Up Messages create lettering that rises from the surface of your design, making them perfect for cake pops, cookies, cupcakes, cakes, and more.

Available in Two Sizes

Small: 1" at the longest point. Perfect for Oreos or for creating additional border space on Disc Cake Pops.

Medium: 1.45" at the longest point.

Instructions

1. Roll out a small amount of fondant and place it over the acrylic Pop Up Message.

2. Using a plastic rolling pin, roll firmly to press the fondant into the lettering.

3. Scrape or remove any excess fondant from the surface.

4. For a single-color design, gently peel the fondant away from the acrylic while rotating the Pop Up Message as needed.

5. Trim the finished design to fit your cake pop, cookie, cupcake, cake, or other treat.

Optional Two-Color Technique

1. Press your first color of fondant into the lettering and scrape away the excess.

2. If needed, gently wipe the surface with a damp paper towel until fondant remains only inside the lettering.

3. Allow the first color to dry for 10–15 minutes.

4. Roll out your second color of fondant and place it over the Pop Up Message.

5. The top layer should be slightly tacky—not dry—so it picks up the lettering without sticking inside the acrylic design.

6. Roll firmly, then gently peel the fondant away while rotating the Pop Up Message.

If the fondant does not release, it may be too dry. Knead it briefly to soften it, then try again.

Please note: The two-color technique is an advanced method that may take practice to master. Results can vary depending on the consistency of your fondant and your technique. Beginners may find it easier to start with a single-color design or one of our simpler Pop Up Messages.

Helpful Tips

• Lightly dust the acrylic with cornstarch if your fondant is sticking.

• Freshly opened fondant may be too soft or wet. Allowing it to rest for a few minutes can improve the results.

• Rotate the Pop Up Message while peeling away the fondant rather than pulling it straight back.

Care Instructions

• Hand wash with warm, soapy water.

• Do not soak.

• Do not place in the dishwasher.

• Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

• Use a soft cloth to clean fine details. A small amount of toothpaste or a slightly damp cloth with a tiny amount of rubbing alcohol may help reduce minor surface marks.
